Engineering Manager, Quality

As our Engineering Manager, Quality, you are responsible for spearheading our quality engineering and test automation efforts across the Pixieset platform and leading a team of QA and Software Engineers in Test to ensure applications are delivered with the highest quality standards. Key accountabilities include: driving quality engineering efforts within an agile team and overseeing bug tracking, test prioritization, test automation, and release; influencing design by reviewing the requirements, behaviour specifications, and design documents to begin test development early and uncover risks prior to implementation; recommending improvements to overall best practices, design, testability and quality, tools, and productivity; working with other engineering leaders to apply a 'test automation first' strategy to test case execution; overseeing areas where integration with CI/CD pipeline will increase overall product quality and developer quality of life; tracking test gaps, quality, and productivity metrics, and working with other engineering teams to improve gaps from this data; providing timely and accurate QA status and progress throughout agile projects, and summarizing QA results at project conclusion; conducting regular 1:1s, motivating and retaining individuals, developing skills of team members, participating in performance reviews, hiring and training new talent to continue growing the organization.
