Senior Data Engineer

As our Senior Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that power our data pipeline. Your work has a direct impact on the success of our company as you help make data accurate, complete, and easily accessible for stakeholders to drive actionable business decisions. Key accountabilities include: designing and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture; building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of data sources; implementing necessary analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics; working with stakeholders including the Executive, Finance, and Product teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs; assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements; identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.; ensuring that the security of systems and customer data is at the centre of any decisions made; creating the foundation on which our team members will rely on that allows them to build and optimize our products, quickly and effectively; understanding how Pixieset operates as a business, technically and culturally to provide well thought out and explainable solutions, while educating the team and processing feedback.
